iXtreme v1.6 Firmware Update for 360
 
Xbox 360 NewsTeam HyperX -THX-has released a new version of the iXtreme firmware for BenQ, Samsung and LiteOn drives. Hitachi will follow at a later date (ETA unknown) as usual.

If you play backups on Xbox Live, you NEED to update your firmware to this new version to stay safe! All new games coming out are classified as Wave 3 and require iXtreme 1.6 to run on your Xbox.

-Strict Wave 3 compliance! hybrid (modified disks) will not boot!
-Strict drive speed compliance - 12x only for game discs!

-One shot boot mode! - allows a one off boot of gamedisc without
-stealth/partition checks (will still use stealth), use activate.iso disk to activate each time!

Wii NewsrOn has released an updated version of MPlayer Wii which now includes USB support.

* happy french bastille day!
* added USB storage support (USB reading is dead slow unfortunately, only good for MP3 files)
* added volume controls (Up/Down buttons on the wiimote)
* added wiimote buttons repeat during playback
* added preliminary test network streaming (shoutcast and mms)
* longer filename display in the file selection screen
* fix for widescreen aspect ratio (uses the Wii display settings)
* more audio playback fixes

Wii NewsAs for some older news, the most recent update for the WiiKey chip is 1.9s and was released on March 27.

Benq iXtreme 1.41 Rev 2 Non-Stealth Multispeed
 
Xbox 360 NewsA new firmware has been released for Xbox 360 Benq drives, however only for non-stealth users (not LIVE safe).

Wii NewsWiikey developers have released a new flash update for wiikey modchips that fixes detection issues with Super Mario Galaxy.

They are calling the update 1.9g a BETA HOTFIX and "comes with absolutely no warranty or guarantees. Use it at your own risk!"

Commodore4eva has done it again with his latest version of the iXtreme 1.4 firmware for all 360 drive versions (except v78/79 hitachi, which maximus will release shortly)..

This version is currently 'Live' safe and if planing to use live you should upgrade to this version ASAP to avoid getting banned.
