iXtreme v1.6 Firmware Update for 360
 
Xbox 360 NewsTeam HyperX -THX-has released a new version of the iXtreme firmware for BenQ, Samsung and LiteOn drives. Hitachi will follow at a later date (ETA unknown) as usual.

If you play backups on Xbox Live, you NEED to update your firmware to this new version to stay safe! All new games coming out are classified as Wave 3 and require iXtreme 1.6 to run on your Xbox.

-Strict Wave 3 compliance! hybrid (modified disks) will not boot!
-Strict drive speed compliance - 12x only for game discs!

Benq iXtreme 1.41 Rev 2 Non-Stealth Multispeed
 
Xbox 360 NewsA new firmware has been released for Xbox 360 Benq drives, however only for non-stealth users (not LIVE safe).

Commodore4eva has done it again with his latest version of the iXtreme 1.4 firmware for all 360 drive versions (except v78/79 hitachi, which maximus will release shortly)..

This version is currently 'Live' safe and if planing to use live you should upgrade to this version ASAP to avoid getting banned.

Note, this does NOT mean that you can dump and flash benq firmwares with fw toolbox. It simply supports reading the firmware and spoofing it.

Xbox 360 NewsCommodore4eva has released a new firmware for the Toshiba-Samsung h943 xbox360 drive

Features (v1.2b) Slow-read (4x) version This version is for users who may have lesser quality lasers that have issues reading media. It offers nothing more than a slow-read.

Regarding iXtreme for hitahi: Soon :) We are currently testing, and everything seems smooth. The hitachi ixtreme will still need to be ported over to each specific version (v32-79), so that will take a little time, but most of the hard work is over.

Our good friend Commodore4eva has released a new stealthing firmware for the 360 Toshiba-Samsung drive called iXtreme that makes it safe once again to go on LIVE with game backups.

Here are the Features of iXtreme 1.0

  • (v1.0) Defeats all current and some future Xbox Live detection attempts
  • (v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 360 backups
  • (v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 1 backups
  • (v1.0) Boots all Xbox 360 originals
  • (v1.0) Boots all Xbox 1 originals on Xbox 360
  • Use on Xbox Live at own risk!!

    • The new version 1.2 has extra verfication between SS/DMI/PFI in stealth backups.

    We strongly advise that you upgrade to iXtreme 1.2 in the near future for the safety of your xblive account.

    The Hitachi Version of iXtreme is currently a Work In Progress. There is no ETA, so i would give it several weeks before any public progress report.

    MS Has Started To Ban 360's!!
    		 
    Xbox 360 NewsIt's confirmed. Microsoft decided to start banning Xbox360's with modified firmwares on Friday May 18th.

    • Both Hitachi-LG and Toshiba-Samsung drives.
    • Just like on Xbox1 it looks like Microsoft bans the console unique ID (serial), not the LIVE user.
    • Microsoft will not allow anyone to login on LIVE on a banned console.

    New Hitachi firmware 78FK Unhackable?
    		 
    Xbox 360 NewsNew Hitachi DVD drives with the 78FK firmeware have started showing up in Canada now too. We've confirmed a batch at Costco. At the moment these drives can not be hacked. There is no Xtreme firmware release for these models, and they would require external flashing even if there was firmware available.

    We advise you to check the side of the origingal xbox 360 box where the barcode is found, before purchasing a new one. Look for a Lot No. if the number is 0633 or 0635 then the Xbox 360 probably has the new Hitachi 78FK.
